Our Spring 2005 publication marks a milestone for our team - our 10th
edition! We are proud to have brought the visitors to the island, as well
as the local residents, our commentary on Aruba's unique blend of art,
music, dance, food, and local personalities and culture... for such a
small island, there is a never-ending treasure trove of fascinating
stories to tell.
In this edition, Aruba's distinct desert topography provides the perfect
backdrop for our Wild West take on the latest fashion trends, and forget
the rodeo - Aruba's Pasofino horseshows spotlight equestrian beauty and
grace.
On a serious note, those of us residing on the island of Aruba are
grateful to have skirted a tumultuous Caribbean hurricane season with only
soggy feet and leaky roofs. Our hearts go out to those ravaged by
December's tsunami and the ultimate tragedy they are coping with. Many
local businesses and islanders - children included - dipped into their
bank accounts and piggy banks to contribute to the "Aruba Helps Tsunami
Victims" relief fund that to date has collected more than $175.000 for
UNICEF
